Description:
The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (‘Ocean Decade’) launched a strategic ambition setting process in June 2023 (called ‘Vision 2030’), to identify a common measure of success for each of the Ocean Decade Challenges on the road to 2030. The Vision 2030 process is supposed to provide the answer to the question: “What does success look like for this Challenge at the end of the Decade [or sooner]?”.
The Townhall Session aims to :
- Develop a better understanding of the Vision 2030;
- Share perspectives, together with actional recommendations towards addressing ocean priority issues and achieving sustainable development in the region;
- Foster engagement of partners/stakeholders in the Decade Development and implementation.
